What is industrial mountaineering?

The concept of "industrial mountaineering" is being used by alpinists for a long time but officially such branch does not exist.
Formerly, the works at high rise buildings were carried out with the help of lifting devices, towers, scaffolding, etc. It is expensive and sometimes even impossible. When alpinists started using their skills and equipment to solve industrial problems, "industrial mountaineering" appeared.
Today, it has developed into an independent branch.

    Advantages and safety.

This method eliminates the use of cumbersome scaffolding and lifting devices, that lift workers to their working places, and makes work simpler and cheaper. Quite often, the cost of the work of one our qualified specialist can be compared to the rent of scaffolding and lifting devices.

. Besides, lifting devices, scaffolding, and so called "building cradles" are fairly cumbersome, and the erection of these devices requires a lot of time (although sometimes one cannot manage without them too), what influences the cost of the work as a result. The equipment used by our specialists can be easily placed in a boot of a car, and its preparation for work takes approximately an hour.

The level of safety in industrial mountaineering is significantly higher than in usual building where scaffolding and "cradles" are used. A worker is constantly insured that practically eliminates the possibility of falling down.

The people who have mastered the technique of industrial mountaineering can carry out a number of repairs and building works at any high rise object.

The most widespread works carried out using the method of industrial mountaineering are:

  • Sealing of joints in panel houses.
  • Repairs and painting of facades of any complexity and difficulty of access.
  • Placing and replacement of drain-pipes.
  • Removal of snow and icicles from roofs.
  • Anticorrosion processing of metal constructions.
  • Erection of metal constructions.
  • Window washing.
  • Replacement of glass at high rise buildings.
  • Placing of outside advertising placards and display-boards.
  • Installation of lighting equipment.
  • Installation of cables to outside walls.
  • This list is endless.
